Journalist/filmmaker Carole Langer was the first to shed light on the lives of four young children living in the Edenwald Houses of the Bronx. Her coverage revealed the horrifying abuse they endured at the hands of their parents, and exposed the failures of child services in protecting them. This tragic story ultimately resulted in the death of five-year-old Adam Mann, highlighting how these vulnerable children were abandoned by those meant to keep them safe.
