This episode dovetails off of our last conversation around the founding of EROC (End Rape on Campus), a discussion with Annie Clark. In that conversation, Annie mentioned passing the CEO torch to Kenyora Johnson, a capable innovative leader. We also shifted the focus to Kenyora to learn what innovations EROC has in store. We uncovered some of the differing reasons HBCU students fail to report in comparison to the rationales of their PWI (Predominantly White Institutions) counterparts; as well as the role that starting conversations at earlier ages can have on understanding the safety of our children when deciding on higher education.

Along with that, we brought in Renee Best, founder of Anew U Counseling Service, to learn how Sexual Violence hisotries can resurface in the workplace. We discuss how stress, weight fluctuation and other triggers should send red flags to anyone experiencing them to seek help from a therapist. We also dive into how the lack of accountability of abusers at the college level bleeds into the workplace, which, if revealed, can create major setbacks for survivors working to heal.
