My Hockey Hero

Do you love hockey? My name is Dean and I know I do.

As a kid growing up in the late 70’s, it always inspired me to see people of color in the NHL. I’ve collected hockey cards since I was 8 years old, and I recently completed a 100+ card collection of all of the Black and bi-racial players who made it to the NHL. I’m going to talk to the players in my collection, as each of them has an amazing story to tell.

Together, we will bring the cards to life to understand the personality and the drive that allowed them to break down barriers. So whether you're 8 or 80, we want you to be inspired by their lives - find My Hockey Hero wherever you get your podcasts.
